Hunting
Our yearly hunting harvests are based on surveys by the Ranch Biologists, Ranch Manager and /or Texas Parks and Wildlife data.The Trevino Ranch is available for 3 day hunts only, and each 3 day hunt will be leased to a MAXIMUM of 6 hunters/guns. Applicants must have a current TPW hunting license, valid Driver's License and references. Once applications have been received, they will be reviewed, references contacted and the Ranch Manager will determine eligibility.
ATV's are allowed on the ranch but must remain on established roadways. Cross country travel will not be tolerated and possible eviction without return of any monies is the result if this Rule is not followed.
Hunters may not bring dogs or pets onto the property for any reason.
Depending upon when the reservations are made, a determination of which species will harvested (i.e. migratory waterfowl, Quail, Dove or White Tail Deer) according to which seasons are open in the area. No other animals may be shot at or killed except those which will be designated on your hunting lease.
The three campsites with shade and water collectors each have a fire pit and a latrine. Tents can be placed around the cleared areas or in case of storms, und the shade canopy.
Fires are strictly prohibited anywhere on the ranch EXCEPT for cooking on the fire pits provided. We have worked hard to conserve the grass and ground cover, please do not torch it.
There are many natural hazards on the ranch that you will be signing a Liability Release for. Just a few of these are rattlesnakes, scorpions, and poisonous spiders.
The cost of a 3 day hunt is $1500 per gun, a maximum of 6 guns per hunt and only 3 day hunts are available.
All deposits and fees must be paid in full on or before July 1st, 2009 to reserve your trip.
Guide services are available and prices are based on individual package arrangements.
Feeding corn is permissible and you may bring your own stands as long as those stands are removed prior to the end of the 3rd hunting day.
Spouses and children may accompany any hunter but they will be charged an additional fee of $50 per person per day, a total of $150 for a 3 day hunt.
Should you be accepted to hunt on the Trevino Ranch, you must provide your own method of cooling and/or storing the carcass you harvest.
